Common Life

"And all the believers met together in one place and shared everthing they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need." Acts 2:44-45

What does this mean for today? Christians in the city of Hamilton are beginning to ask how to live out the gospel and its mission in our cultural context. For some of us, we are being drawn to a common life.

For me, I had a dream many years ago with a flash of community living. This lead to a question about a year ago to another couple: "Do you want to buy a house together?"

After thoughts, prayers, missteps and more prayers, we've drafted a document, found others who also share the vision, and we bought a house.

Now we hear of others in our city who have similar dreams and plans. We are encouraged, and hope this site can help to link us together in a meaningful way.
